Fantasy Flight Games has announced five new sets for its Star Wars: Unlimited trading card game, all scheduled to release throughout 2027. The announcement was made alongside details for an upcoming expansion and competitive events. The publisher stated the game has grown into a global organized play ecosystem since its 2024 launch, supported by thousands of tournaments and tens of thousands of players across more than forty countries.
Live competitions are frequent. A key event is the Regional Championships, set for Utrecht, Netherlands from October 30 to November 1 this year. This precedes a major new card set.
Homeworlds Expansion Arrives October 2026
The next major release is Star Wars: Unlimited - Homeworlds, launching in October 2026. It will introduce over 260 new cards. Features include Spotlight decks featuring Chewbacca and Grand Moff Tarkin. Two new token types, Beast and Weakness, will be added. A new Fortify keyword will allow players to play upgrades on their bases for the first time. Grand Moff Tarkin, as a Spotlight deck leader, is noted as the game's first leader capable of deploying as the Death Star. Fantasy Flight Games claims this will "fundamentally change late-game strategy."

Star Wars: Unlimited first launched in 2024 with the Spark of Rebellion set. It is designed as a two-player game where each player uses a deck of at least 50 cards plus a leader and base, competing in a best-of-three format.
