Editorial Policy
Boxofficebell publishes factual reference material and related reporting about the film industry for a UK audience. Its core purpose is to document the release of films: when they land, where you can watch them, and how they performed commercially. The site builds permanent reference pages for films, people, franchises, distributors, cinemas, formats and genres. It will not publish betting content, invented quotes, or details about a person’s private life unrelated to their professional work. It does not present health, legal or financial advice as instruction.
Reporting is separated from reference material. News articles, box office analysis and festival coverage are timely pieces of journalism. Reference pages are living documents that are updated with new, verifiable information as it becomes available, such as a film’s streaming availability or a person’s latest credited work. All factual claims are sourced. Where a claim cannot be independently verified, it is either not published or is clearly attributed as an unverified report from a stated source.
Images on boxofficebell are treated with the same factual rigour as text. A real photograph is used where one exists, always credited to its copyright holder. The site will never use a software-generated image of a real person’s face. Stills from films and official promotional artwork are used where appropriate and are clearly labelled.
Readers who wish to suggest a correction, report an error or contact the editorial team can do so by writing to the published contact address. Feedback regarding factual inaccuracies on reference pages is particularly welcomed.
