Game of Thrones: Conquest Offers New Events and a Glimpse of Future Releases
Fans of the Game of Thrones franchise can look forward to new events and a glimpse of future releases in the mobile game Game of Thrones: Conquest.

Game of Thrones fans may be waiting for the return of HBO's newest spin-off series, House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, but there's plenty to keep them busy in the meantime.
One of the most exciting developments is the upcoming release of War for Westeros, a video game that will give players control of some of the Great Houses and even the Night King's army of wights. However, fans who are looking for a more immediate Game of Thrones fix will be happy to know that a new recurring event called War for the Throne is scheduled to arrive this weekend.
War for the Throne returns to Game of Thrones: Conquest from August 21-23, continuing the recurring PvP event that regularly gives eligible kingdoms a chance to invade rival realms and compete for control of Westeros. During WFTT, players can teleport into another kingdom, battle over Seats of Power (SoPs), and earn rewards including KvK Pawn Shards for holding those locations when Invasion ends.
This weekend's biggest strategic wrinkle comes on Sunday, with Respite, running from roughly 10AM to 2PM EST, which temporarily locks every SoP and creates a four-hour recovery window after the initial overnight fighting. Retribution immediately follows from around 2PM to 6PM, reopening every SoP for one final push before their normal unlock schedules resume.
Open War, meanwhile, spans the broader weekend and includes Strategic Terrain Nodes, and the event falls alongside August's History and Visions arc, which includes A World of Mercy and The Iron Throne.
Originally released in 2017, Game of Thrones: Conquest is a free-to-play mobile MMO/RTS from WB Games Boston. Available on iOS and Android, it lets players build their own unique House, raise armies and dragons, form allegiances, and fight over iconic locations such as King's Landing and Winterfell in pursuit of the Iron Throne.
Conquest is among the top-rated mobile games on both the App Store and Google Play, and alongside the recently released Dragonfire from the same developers, there's plenty here for fans of the Game of Thrones franchise to keep busy while they wait for its return to television next year in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 2.
