Last Chance to Download Iconic PS1 Game on PlayStation Plus

A beloved PlayStation 1 title is set to leave the PlayStation Plus service, giving fans a limited time to grab it before it's gone forever.
Games constantly leave the PlayStation Plus service, often catching users off guard. This can be especially painful for newer subscribers who may not be aware of the eventuality or miss out on previous month's free games.
A highly-regarded PS1 game is among the seven titles leaving the service in September. This classic game is a must-play for fans of the legendary series it is based on.
The game in question is *Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue*, a surprisingly good Disney movie tie-in game that sees players control the titular Buzz Lightyear as he navigates numerous levels, collecting Pizza Planet tokens, fighting enemies, and defeating bosses. For its time, it was rather highly regarded, and today it remains a fairly enjoyable *Toy Story* romp.
The game was added to PlayStation Plus back in 2022 and has been an incredible addition to the Classics Catalog ever since. However, it will leave the service on September 15, 2026, alongside *Toy Story 3*.
For those who are interested but perhaps don't have the time, an alternative option is being made available. *Disney/Pixar Toy Story: Retro Roundup!*, a collection of several Disney movie tie-in games, including *Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue*, is set to release on September 15, the same day the beloved PS1 game is being removed from PS Plus.
It is understandable why the existing versions of the individual games are being removed in favor of the collection. However, considering the collection will cost $24.99 at launch (and doesn't include *Toy Story 3*), it is still a loss for current subscribers.
Still, for those who are eager to play *Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue*, there will at least be another opportunity once it has officially left **PlayStation Plus** in mid-September.
