Looney Labs is relaunching its Star Trek Fluxx card games to celebrate the franchise's 60th anniversary in 2026. The company will release a limited reprint of four standalone games and a brand-new version on October 20, 2026.
The revival covers five distinct eras of the Star Trek universe. The returning games are based on Star Trek: The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. They will be joined by the newly created Star Trek: Lower Decks Fluxx.
The Returning Original Series Game
The Star Trek: The Original Series edition, which originally launched in 2018, has been out of print for years. It features the iconic crew led by Captain James T. Kirk, Spock, and Dr. Leonard McCoy. Players encounter familiar threats like Klingons, Romulans, and the Doomsday Machine while trying to complete goals to win.
Other cards reference memorable franchise moments, including Fizzbin and Venting the Warp Core. The game has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $25.
How the Fluxx Gameplay Works
Fluxx is built on a foundation of constantly changing rules. Every player starts with a simple instruction: draw one card and play one card. New Rule cards introduced during play can alter how many cards are drawn, played, or kept in hand.
Victory conditions are also fluid. The Goal cards that determine how to win can change multiple times throughout a single match. This mechanic makes each game unpredictable.
A Broader Anniversary Celebration
This tabletop revival is part of a much larger celebration for Star Trek's 60th anniversary. The franchise began with Star Trek: The Original Series, which first aired in 1966.
